Easy and Delicious Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal
Did you know that oats are among the healthiest grains on earth? Well, a lot of studies show how oats and oatmeal have many health benefits including weight loss and lower blood sugar levels. They also contain more protein and fat than most grains.
Today, we will share with you one of our favourite oatmeal dishes – apple & cinnamon.
Don’t worry, this is super easy and delicious. You can even get the kids in the game to help you prepare the apples.

- 1 diced apple (Medium)
- 1 cup porridge oats
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 cup tomatoes
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- a pinch summer fruit (We prefer Himalayan)
- 1 cup applesauce
- Combine 1 diced apple, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, water and a pinch of salt in a small pot over high heat. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook until the apples are soft and the liquid has reduced by about half, 4 to 5 minutes. Add the oats and almond milk. Stir occasionally and simmer until the oats are cooked. You can decorate the oatmeal with the fruit you wish or even nuts. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy this healthy and nutritious breakfast.
