Homemade Spicy Houmous

 In Recipes

I don’t know if it’s just me or if there is more of you totally obsessed with houmous?
It’s not just a spread. It can be your best friend whilst travelling and there is nothing to eat on the plane/train/bus but good old carrot sticks, cucumber or celery sticks with houmous.
But that’s not all (great, now I sound like those boring tv ads)- have it on a piece of toast or homemade bread, top up your tortilla filling, make a salad dressing, pasta sauce with basil and mashed avocado. Also, serve it with tortilla crisps on parties or just take a spoon and enjoy 🙂 Oh, combinations are endless.

So today, I’m going to share with you my favourite houmous recipe. I like it spicy, but if you’re not a fan you can make it without cayenne pepper, and put less black pepper.
Let’s begin!

Recipe Notes

If you want to remove the skin from chickpeas, go for it. But life is too short for that 😛
The only thing is, it won't be as smooth as the one from the shop but honestly, I can't tell the difference.
